Michelle & Vikki
Neuro Rehab Sussex CIC is operated as a Community Interest Company. This means we are a not for profit service, created to help improve the lives of people living with a neurological condition such as Stroke or FND in Sussex. Any surplus we make is used only to support our work and we believe this is the most sustainable and ethical way for Neuro Rehab Sussex CIC to work.
We work in partnership with our patients and we recognise that the rehabilitation approach to Stroke and FND has to be as unique as the condition itself - personally tailored to meet the needs of the patients.
Our mission as a social enterprise includes ensuring that our therapists are also members of our Community Interest Company which is run by a Board of Directors in consultation with our members.
Equality and Diversity
We are committed to providing inclusive rehab to people in Sussex and the surrounding counties with Stroke and FND of all backgrounds. We actively hire our associate therapists from a diverse community, including people with lived experience of disability and provide training to reduce the impact of implicit bias.
We are aware that our fee structure may be slightly higher than other rehab services available. However, included in the fee structure is a percentage of monies that are allocated towards a hardship fund for people who are unable to afford the full price of therapy. This is because Stroke and FND can affect anyone, and everyone, no matter their financial situation deserves access to timely, local, good quality rehab. If you do not want to contribute to the hardship fund via your fees, this can be discussed during your initial assessment.
At Neuro Sussex CIC we know that people get the best outcomes when they are empowered to make decisions that work for them. Therefore, at the core of our work is supporting you to become as independent as you can and live the life you want to live. Throughout your rehab journey with us and beyond we want you to be in control of your rehab and your life as you become stronger and more confident.
